New Signs are Installed on Highway 1
The long wait for a sign pointing to Cheadle along the TransCanada highway has finally come to an end. James Gosteli has managed to make headway with the Alberta Government’s Provincial Highway Department. Two signs have been installed for East and Westbound traffic on Hwy #1 (before Hwy 24). Cheadle is often difficult to find for visitors coming from outside the community. The only remaining signs that point to Cheadle are located directly on Hwy 24. Seeing as most traffic comes from Hwy #1, it is understandable that people simply whip past the Hwy 24 turn-off without a second thought. These signs have come as a great relief to people who relied the large Chick-head landmark as an indicator to visitors (which is no long in place). Next time you are out and about check out the sparkling new signage on Highway 1, on the way to Cheadle.
